Walker selection

How to choose between foldable, vertical, 2 in 1 or rehabilitation models.

What type of walker is right for me based on my mobility needs?

If you have strength in your arms and only mild difficulty walking, a folding walker is usually sufficient. If you need more support with less effort and an upright posture, the vertical walker Andafacil is the most recommended option. For paralysis or rehabilitation there are specific models.

What is the advantage of a vertical walker Andafacil?

Allows you to walk more upright, reduces strain on back, neck, and wrists, and includes brakes, seat, bag, and all-terrain wheels in main models. They are foldable for daily use at home and outdoors.

Which walker models include a seat?

The vertical walker, the 2-in-1 / rollator, and several four-wheeled models with seats. The seat is useful for resting during travel.

Are vertical walkers foldable?

Yes. All vertical walkers Andafacil are foldable and portable for use in cars, visits, or short trips.

Are there walkers for people with paralysis or severe disabilities?

Yes. We have rehabilitation walkers and paralysis walkers for adults and children. These products differ from a typical senior walker; we'll advise you based on weight, height, and support level.

What is the difference between a wheeled walker and one without wheels?

Without wheels (or with tip-toes) offer maximum stability but require lifting the equipment at each step. With wheels, movement is smoother; choose brakes and wheel type based on indoor vs outdoor use.

Is a walker the same as an andador?

In Mexico, these terms are used interchangeably. At Andafacil we talk about walkers (foldable, vertical, 2-in-1, electric-assist). Choose based on mobility and environment, not just by name.

How to inflate the walker ANDAFACIL Vertical?

With the air pump included with the vertical walker Andafacil: locate the valve on the tire, connect the pump until you feel/hear the pin of the valve (this lets in air), pump until the tire feels firm and remove the pump. Repeat for all tires (front and back). No need to take the walker to a shop: it’s maintenance at home. If the tire doesn’t hold air, check that the connection is properly seated on the pin.

Does the vertical walker include a pump for the wheels?

Yes. The vertical walker Andafacil includes an air pump with purchase. Use it to inflate the pneumatic tires when they feel low; the video shows how to attach it to the valve step-by-step.

Wheelchairs and scooters

Manuals, travel electric, Robooter, StandUp Pro, StairPro and XSTO.

What is the difference between an electric wheelchair and a manual one?

Manual wheelchairs are pushed with the hands or by an attendant. Electric wheelchairs are controlled with a joystick or control and require no physical strength: ideal if you cannot self-propel or want more independence outside of home.

What electric wheelchair models does Andafacil offer?

Daily use and travel lines (EasyGo, Andafacil Pro and similar), scooters, 5-in-1 wheelchairs, Robooter smart walkers, StandUp Pro (Front and Rear) bipedestators, StairPro (folding stair-climbing scooter), XSTO X12 (premium solution for stairs) and XSTO M4 / M4H (self-balancing, folding, with adjustable seat height).

What is the XSTO M4 and how does it differ from the M4H?

XSTO M4 is a self-balancing electric wheelchair (brand XSTO, distributed by Andafacil), foldable and dismountable into 3 parts, with adjustable seat height and omnidirectional wheels (typical range up to ~15 km, capacity 115 kg). The M4H is the same line but with a high backrest and headrest. Delivery time may be from 2 to 6 weeks after confirming payment.

What is the battery life of electric wheelchairs Andafacil?

It depends on the model and terrain: many travel/daily use models offer around ~10 km per load; XSTO M4/M4H up to ~15 km under typical conditions; premium models may vary. Check the product details or write us with the exact model.

What weight do electric wheelchairs support?

Up to 136 kg in several catalog models; there are high-capacity options. Always confirm the capacity of the SKU you're interested in.

What type of battery do they use?

It depends on the model. Travel equipment (EasyGo, TravelPro Elite, Companion Elite) uses lithium batteries: lighter, removable, with a watt-hour limit according to the airline. The Andafacil Pro line (SKU AFSE-) uses a non-spillable sealed lead-acid battery of 24 V · 12 Ah (VRLA/AGM): heavier (about 9 kg) and takes about an 8-hour charge, but with no watt-hour limit for flying. Check your battery label: «VRLA BATTERY» is lead acid, «Lithium-ion» or «Li-ion» is lithium. Each chemistry has different flight rules; we provide the certificate that corresponds to your equipment.

Can electric wheelchairs be used outdoors?

Yes. Most are designed for streets, sidewalks, and uneven surfaces with appropriate wheels. All-terrain models (e.g., some Robooter) offer more capability off smooth pavement.

Can I easily fold or store my electric wheelchair?

Most of our travel/daily use models are foldable for trunk or closet storage. Advanced models (StandUp, StairPro, XSTO, some Robooter) have different dimensions: check folded weight in the specs.

What is a standing wheelchair like the StandUp Pro?

This is a standing power wheelchair that helps you stand up with support (assisted bipedestration). It aids circulation, reachability, and daily activities. There are front and rear versions; it’s best to compare before buying.

How to assemble the ANDAFACIL StandUp Pro?

Assembling the StandUp Pro (Front or Rear) is simple: (1) take the chair out of the box and remove the protective plastic; (2) connect first the red connector of the cable harness under the seat/frame; (3) take the included control (joystick) and insert it into the square tube inside the armrest; (4) tighten the screws on the joystick support and frame with the included tool; (5) check that clamps and joints are securely closed; (6) turn on, test the joystick and bipedal standing function before first use. Is StairPro and XSTO the same thing?

No. Both help with stairs but are different lines: StairPro is a more accessible foldable option; XSTO X12 is a premium vertical mobility solution. We guide you based on budget and type of stairs.

How do you switch sides on an electric wheelchair Andafacil Pro control?

Yes. On the Andafacil Pro, the control (joystick) can be moved from the right side to the left, or vice versa. Summary steps from the official video: (1) carefully cut the zip ties that secure the control cable under the seat and along the frame — without cutting the cable; (2) disconnect the connector of the control cable; (3) loosen the two Allen screws on the black support in the armrest tube and remove the support with the joystick; (4) mount it on the other side's armrest and tighten the screws; (5) run the cable to the new side, reconnect the plug, and secure the cable again with zip ties. If you need help, write us at WhatsApp.

Can the joystick be moved to the left on the Andafacil Pro?

Yes. The control on the Andafacil Pro is reversible: you can install it to the left or right depending on the user’s dominant hand. The procedure is the same as for changing sides (release straps and cable, dismount armrest support, mount on other side, and reconnect). Watch the video in the question about how to change sides, or ask for assistance by WhatsApp.

How to charge the battery of the ANDAFACIL Pro?

The Andafacil Pro can be charged in two ways using the official charger: (1) directly to the battery — open the charging port cover on the battery and insert the charger connector; (2) through the port under the controller (joystick), with the battery connected to the controller — plug the charger below the joystick without removing the battery. Use only the Andafacil charger, connect it to a power outlet and wait for full charge (approx. several hours; many Pro batteries indicate around 8 h). Do not use generic chargers.

How do I install a new control for the ANDAFACIL StairPro?

To install or change the control (joystick) of the StairPro: (1) turn off the chair and locate the circular connector of the control cable (screwed metal ring) under the armrest or in the harness; unscrew the ring and disconnect the plug; (2) loosen the black knob on the support or screws under the armrest and remove the old control from the mounting tube; (3) if the cable is secured with zip ties under the seat, carefully cut them (without damaging cables) to free up space; (4) insert the new control into the armrest support and tighten knob/screws; (5) align the pins of the connector, enclose it, and screw on the metal ring by hand; (6) reattach the cable with zip ties and test that the joystick responds. If you need help, WhatsApp.

Canes and walkers

When a cane is enough and when it's better to use a walker.

Walking stick or walker: which is better for me?

The cane is suitable when support is light, you walk with good posture, and a professional confirms that unilateral or four-legged support is safe. A walker is recommended if you need support on both sides, seating for breaks, or more stability at home and outdoors.

How do I choose the correct height for my cane?

With your arm relaxed at your side, the grip should be at wrist height. Prefer adjustable models and check that the handle is comfortable for daily use.
