Canes: light support for safe walking

The cane is the most compact support when you need extra balance while walking but still don't require a walker. There are single-foot models, four-foot models for greater stability, foldable options for travel, and portable seat choices for resting.

Buy or rent — day, week, or month. You can rent an eligible product (more than $500 MXN; accessories from $3,000 MXN) and, if you decide to buy it, what you've already paid for the rental will be credited towards the purchase. You only pay the difference and keep the product.

Canes

Who are they ideal for?

When to buy?

Choose cane when a healthcare professional confirms that walking with unilateral support or quadruped stance is safe. If you need support on both sides, frequent breaks, or more stability, consider upgrading to a walker 2 in 1 or vertical model.

How to choose the right model

One leg vs four legs

The classic cane is more agile indoors; the four-legged version stands upright on its own and provides more stability outdoors.

Height and grip

With a relaxed arm, the grip should be at wrist height. Check if the model is adjustable and if the handle is ergonomic.

Folding and transport

Folding walkers fit in bags or cars — handy for visits, trips, or storing at the front door.

Frequently asked questions

Should I use a cane or walker?

The cane is useful when support is light and you walk with good posture. The walker is better if you need bilateral support, a seat to rest on, or more stability indoors.

Which cane is more stable?

Four-legged walkers have a wider base and tend to tip over less. Single-footed walkers are more discreet and easier to climb stairs with.
