Yes, you can switch the control from right to left (or vice versa). Summary: Carefully cut the straps holding the cable under the seat (without cutting the cable), disconnect the connector of the control, loosen the two Allen screws on the black support in the armrest, move the joystick and support to the other side, tighten, route the cable, reconnect, and secure with straps. Two options with the official charger: (1) directly into the battery port (open the cover and insert the connector); (2) through the port under the controller, with the battery connected to the control. Video: https://youtu.be/O_BsovOGwNY

Yes. Its battery is a non-spillable sealed lead-acid (VRLA/AGM) of 24 V · 12 Ah, classified as not restricted (IATA DGR Special Provision A67 · IMDG 238), so it does not have any watt-hour limit like lithium. The wheelchair is documented as a mobility aid, usually at no cost, and the battery can travel installed. Notify your airline when you book and 48 hours before your flight; some may require prior approval. Each airline sets its policy: confirm it before flying. We provide guidance for the check-in counter and the MSDS sheet.

Turn off the chair, disconnect the battery cables or main connector and insulate the terminals with tape or caps: that is mandatory to prevent a short circuit. The lead-acid battery DOES NOT go in the cabin — travels in cargo, inside the documented wheelchair. If the airline decides to remove it, they will package it in a rigid container. If you bring a spare battery, most airlines allow only one, in cargo, with rigid packaging and prior approval.

Check the battery label. If it says «VRLA BATTERY» and shows the recycling symbol with «Pb», it's lead: apply this guide. If it says «Lithium-ion», «Li-ion» or indicates Wh (watt-hours), it’s lithium and flight rules are different — ask us for the lithium guide by WhatsApp. The lead battery is also noticeable by weight: about 9 kg.
